I was deeply moved by the show "Disappeared" where people discussed the unexplained disappearance of a loved one. They can't even find some comfort in visiting a shrine of remembrance. What they all had in common was a sense of being dead inside, hopelessly waiting by the window for those footsteps that'll never come.
